Brooke L. Ellis
Electronic Communications Coordinator
Brooke L. Ellis joined Colodny, Fass, Talenfeld, Karlinsky, Abate & Webb's Marketing Department in 2010 as an Electronic Communications Coordinator. In 2012, she earned the Certified Paralegal (CP®) designation from the National Association of Legal Assistants (“NALA”).
An experienced writer, Ms. Ellis edits legal and regulatory content for the Firm’s electronic newsletter, “From the Capitol to the Courthouse.” Published several times daily via e-mail alerts, the newsletter includes legislative, regulatory and political updates and recaps of state- and federal- level agency proceedings. Her other responsibilities include handling the Firm’s Web site updates, search engine optimization, social media, corporate communications and graphic design for marketing communications.
As the Firm’s electronic media specialist, Ms. Ellis is also responsible for database management and regularly monitors news and events of client interest for reporting purposes.
Prior to joining Colodny, Fass, Talenfeld, Karlinsky, Abate & Webb, Ms. Ellis worked as a grants coordinator for the Sun Sentinel Children’s Fund, where she directly participated in the determination and award of approximately $1.5 million in annual funds to over 100 nonprofit organizations. There, she reviewed all incoming grant proposals, coordinated an internal grant review committee and prepared thrice-yearly funding recommendations for approval by company management. Ms. Ellis also assisted with fundraising campaigns and fulfillment of sponsorship agreements on behalf of the Children’s Fund.
Ms. Ellis earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations with an outside concentration in political science from the University of Florida in 2006. In 2011, she earned a certificate in paralegal studies from Florida Atlantic University prior to completing the NALA certification exam.
Ms. Ellis, an active member of Emerge Broward, serves on the Toastmasters International--Toast of Las Olas Chapter Board of Directors as Vice President of Public Relations.
